Preparation of Polyurethane Resin

The crosslinked polyester polysiloxane polyurethane resin was prepared with polyethylene glycol Adipic acid (PE-GA), PDMS-OH, 4,4 '- diphenylmethane diisobalate (MDI) and diglycerol maleate polyol. PDMS-OH has little effect on the mechanical properties of the final material, but it improves the stability and elasticity of the modified resin at low temperatures, and has better thermal stability. They also prepared polysiloxane polyurethane (PDMS PU) block copolymers using PEGA, butanediol CBD, MDI, TDI, or 1,6-hexanedisobutyrate (HDI). Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) study shows that the spherical particles containing polysiloxane (PDMS) are uniformly dispersed in the continuous polyester polyurethane matrix, which is a two-phase system. Two prepolymers are synthesized, one is octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), which is polymerized with PE after ring opening in tetrahydrofuran (THF) solution of phenyl Trimethylamine siloxane ­ GA and MDI react in the presence of catalysts; The other is the reaction between PDMS and MDI under the same conditions. After mixing the two types of prepolymers, MDI and BD are added, and then poured into a film. The properties of the films were measured by differential thermal analysis (DSC) and dynamic mechanical property analyzer (DMA).

The silicone-modified polyurethane aqueous emulsion for leather finishing agent was synthesized by solution copolymerization and salt-forming emulsification, which can significantly improve the mechanical properties and solvent resistance of the film. ABA-type block copolymers containing PDMS and ketone resins were synthesized. Firstly, polysiloxane polyurethanes terminated by double NCO groups were obtained by reacting PDMS terminated with dihydroxy groups with isophorone diisophenolate (IPDI). Then, they were further reacted with cyclohexanone-formaldehyde resins containing active hydroxyl groups, acetophenone-formaldehyde resins and cyclohexanone-formaldehyde resins modified by in-situ trimeramines. The obtained resin exhibits unique properties due to the combination of highly surface-active siloxane segments, and has good compatibility with ketone resins. This ABA-type resin can be used as an additive.
